Verify a report

Check a report against the chain

Every PONSUM report carries an ID made from its contents. When a workspace anchors it, that ID is written to Robinhood Chain with the tax year, country, method and transaction count. Paste the ID from the report footer, or drop the report's JSON file to recompute it here.

The file stays in your browser. Only the ID is looked up.

How verification works

  1. 1

    The report hashes itself

The report ID is the keccak256 hash of the report's canonical JSON: every disposal, income line, fee and total, without the date it was generated.

  2. 2

    The workspace anchors it

The workspace owner, or an accountant it trusts, writes the ID onchain once. A corrected report can replace an older one, and the old ID then shows as superseded.

  3. 3

    Anyone can check

Change one number in the file and its hash no longer matches any anchor. PONSUM is software, not tax advice. Check your local rules or ask an accountant.
